During your initial visit a full health history is taken. Questions regarding lifestyle, diet, health, symptoms, digestion and emotional wellness are asked. Tongue and pulse are read.
Collecting this information allows for an effective diagnosis to provide treatment. Treatment time typically includes acupuncture and any other modalities your practitioner feels you may need. Herbal remedies may be discussed and dispensed.

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine are used as preventative maintenance in China, as well as treatment in acute illness presentations. It works best when used in a series of treatments. It is important to note that acupuncture is not a quick fix. In many cases it can take time to relieve presenting symptoms, while other times shifts can occur quickly. Much depends on the nature of the health issue to be treated and weather it is chronic, internal or acute in presentation. In some cases regular maintenance is helpful and may be needed.

It is important to have good effective communication with your TCM Practitioner so together you can develop a treatment plan that works best for you.
